Harmony Barber Shop

The Harmony Barber shop is a working barber shop on Main Street, U.S. A.   The Barber Shop is open from 9 until 5 daily in the Magic Kingdom, and prices are $17 for adults, $14 for kids under 12 and $5 for bangs.  In addition to the hair cuts the Cast Members can also add color and pixie dust.  The Barber shop only takes walk ins and works on a first come first served bases.

My kids love the Barber Shop and both Brooke and Drew had their first haircuts in Harmony Barber Shop.  Our favorite part of the Harmony Barber Shop for is the hair color and pixie dusts.  The color and pixie dust makes for great pictures for the rest of the day and the kids eat up all the extra attention they get.   Even taking a bath becomes fun when the water changes color as they wash their hair.

The Harmony Barber Shop is was selected as a "Hidden Treasure" by Lou Mongello on his 6-24-07 WDW Radio Podcast, www.wdwradio.com.  Lou Mongello is also the author of The Walt Disney Trivia Book, which our family highly recommends.

MouseMom's Tips:

  • Cast members work their "magic" to make kids feel comfortable with sticker and toys.

  •  If are in the Barber Shop around 3, walk outside to see the parade.

  • Check out the Cash Register from 1912, shoe shine chair, and phone box.

  • We have found the lines are the shortest around 10:30-noon.  Most of the morning rush is gone and those entering the park are off to the attractions.  Another time we like to go is around 2, after they kids are done we walk out side and have a front row seat for the parade.
