Main Street is located just inside the Main Gate of the Magic Kingdom.  Main Street, U.S.A. was inspired by Walt Disney's own home town of Marceline, Missouri.  At the end of Main Street is the most recognizable building in the worldCinderella's Castle.  Between the Main Gate and Cinderella's Castle are some of the best overlooked attractions in all of Walt Disney World.

MouseMom's picture ideas and tips:

  • We have managed to get Drew's picture with the Indian Statue on Main Street or in Frontierland during a couple of our trips.  It is fun to see how much he has grown compared to the statue.   Look for fun things in the parks to take pictures with, they can be found all over the parks.  Some other statues on Main Street is Goofy on a bench in front of Town Square or Roy and Minnie on the bench near the flag pole.

  • Take pictures of the cast members selling balloons, even better if your child is buying one.

  • Take pictures of signs, they make scrap booking easier when you get home.

  • Get disposable cameras for the kids to use and see the trip through their eyes.  Characters seem to really get into "character" for a kid with a camera.  Also have the kids take pictures of the adults during the trip, this ensures everyone will have pictures from the trip.
